Secure An Enduring Power of Attorney

An enduring power of attorney allows you to name an individual to make financial decisions on your behalf when you lose the mental capacity to make your own decisions. An enduring power of attorney can only make financial decisions for you, not health care decisions. This can come into effect when you sign it, or when your doctor says you are no longer capable to make your own financial decisions.

With a power of attorney, you may choose how specific or how long it will last for and ends when you lose mental capacity. An enduring power of attorney, however, continues to operate even when after you have lost your mental capacity.
